Avocet Pioneer 3 Deadbolt Double Spindle 92PZ 62PZ Multipoint Door Lock - Caravan Lock

This Avocet multipoint door lock comes with 3 deadbolts and 1 latch.

Avocet multipoint locks are easily recognizable once removed from the door, as the faceplates are typically stamped with the Avocet logo. Older versions may feature the "WMS" logo instead. The gearboxes are uniquely shaped, with a cutout extending below the latch, a distinctive feature when identifying multipoint locks.

Originally, Avocet multipoint locks were available in a wide variety of configurations, including hooks, rollers, deadbolts, and the Affinity Bastion lock with opposing hooks. Early models were made from yellow passivated steel, giving them a distinct brassy color. More recent models now feature faceplates in stainless steel or a Trivalent silver finish.

With the transition from yellow passivated to silver finishes, most variations were replaced, though some exceptions remain, including the 2 roller and 2 mushroom locks, as well as a shorter version of the 3 deadbolt lock designed for caravans. It’s also important to note that some Avocet locks include a "sash lifter" device, which was designed to ensure proper alignment between the sash and frame. However, these are no longer available, and we recommend replacing these locks with the standard versions.

Most Avocet locks come with a 35mm backset, though the Affinity Bastion lock, intended for composite doors, features a 45mm backset.
